I did think it was kinda stupid how Ichigo just stood there like a moron watching Komamura and the Vizards get owned. It was just him in that half a pannel with a blank look on his face.

And LOL @ Soi Fon's Shadow Clone jutsu. It was awesome.

I don't see how it was stupid. Ichigo is completely outclassed by the other captains. In that moment, he realized how weak he was in comparison to everyone else on the battle field. That would cause anyone to freeze.

He's not outclassed by all the Captains. He's just as strong or maybe stronger.

And why would he be frozen for such a stupid reason?
I just think he realized how useless the fighting is against such a powerful opponent. He's watching his allies getting owned by Aizen. (Or at least in the beginning)

I think Ichigo has never been outclassed by the Captains ever since he mastered his bankai, and he's only been getting stronger and stronger since then by controlling his Hollow and using the mask. He fights on equal or if not higher lvl than the the majority of the Captains.

The ones I believe are stronger are probably:

Shunsui
Yamamoto
Kenpachi

well didn't you ever think Ichigo made that face because he still can't fathom Ellen DeGeneres on American Idol?? I'd make the same face while watching my friends get owned like that with American Idol in the back of my mind. Not to mention he's probably fatigued from Hueco Mundo back to his hometown with name.

Ichigo felt useless when he realized exactly how great the captains are. Just like Byakuya said, they don't need his help. He needs theirs.

Also, yeah, to see so many people getting beaten, how does he expect he can help? They have great teamwork, he can't really fathom getting in on it.

That's my impression, anyway. It's nice to see Ichigo not be the hero.

I agree. Ichigo really can't rank against the captains.

Sure he has a hollow and his bankai is nice. However, when you look at how long and how much training these Captains have had, he is outclassed in every respect. Ichigo doesn't hold a feather to any of the captains.

That's not to say he can't beat some of them. He has beaten Byakuya (mostly thanks to Ichigo Zero) and stalemated at best with Kenpachi.

Now with his powers trained and refined, he's a formidable shinigami, captain level for sure. But he just can't do too much more than any one or two can, and definitely not as powerful as Soi Fon, Hitsugaya, and Shunsui, and Hirako is combined.

I don't think he really defeated Byakuya. Let us look at Byakuya's personality. He is very elitist and dominant. He will hit you with his full power in order to show his supremacy. Byakuya assessed Ichigo's power and fought him. He believed he knew the limit of Ichigo's power. He was correct about the limit of "Ichigo's Power". However, he did not count on the possibility of a dual personality. Which, quite frankly, doesn't make much sense. Anyways, Byakuya attempted to beat Ichigo into the gruond to show his supremacy. He did this by releasing his bankai in its world form. At this point, Byakuya was toying with Ichigo. He knew that it was only a matter of time before Ichigo reached his limit and he could go for the kill. That moment arrived and Byakuya went to kill Ichigo. HOwever, he was struck by something. Someone who wasn't Ichigo, but was a split personality or whatever u wanna call it. Byakuya didn't lose that fight. Ichigo didn't win that fight. I say Byakuya would have beaten Ichigo if the fight wasn't interrupted by Ichigo's hollow side. I also think that under circumstances where Ichigo's hollow side was fighting Byakuya, Byakuya would win.

Byakuya couldn't defeat Ichigo in his hollow form. He was outmatched in speed and power. And now with Ichigo's new hollow form he's XxXx times more powerful.
And Plus we gotta remember that Ichigo had just barely learned how to use his Bankai during his fight with Byakuya and he didn't know how to control it yet. Now that he's practically mastered it i'm sure he can beat the majority of the Captains.
