If Hajime No Ippo were more about Mixed Martial Arts being as it's more popular than boxing today do you think it would've been a better series?

It seems like when I see movies like "Never Back Down" or "Fighting" the more I feel like MMA really is the death of Pro Boxing.

Is this a serious question? The writing in Hajime No Ippo is amazing.. There are plenty of manga about multiple fighting styles being used in Street Fights.. Few of which are as good as Hajime No Ippo..

Ippo is about Boxing and came out in the 80's. There are TONS of manga where people fight in different fighting styles that could only ever dream of being half as good as Ippo.

Pro boxing dead.....Nope not here in el paso. Plus some of the MMA fighter specialize in boxing.
